YCN, UK Greetings : Gouache Painting

After realising that I need to return to handmade materials to produce my final outcomes - I did a load of gouache paintings of my floral designs. I think gouache is a really good medium because it has a sense of texture, but also looks well-crafted and professional.

I tried my designs with the characters, but in gouache they looked rather creepy and off-putting. I don't know if I'll put them in using coloured-pencil or charcoal, or just to leave them as they are? I also made a stripe and dot pattern, as I thought these could work well in conjunction with my designs, especially for the repeat-pattern wrapping paper.
