For this poster I choose to do a character from one of my favourite Tv series 'Parks and Recreation'.
In composing the poster I started think about the things that define Ron Swanson as a character - his love of meat - bacon and eggs especially - america, capitalism...
I think something that I really started working towards though was capturing the expression and character of Ron Swanson's face. He has very defining features, like his moustache and eyebrows and I think these themselves actually communicate his personality quite well on their own.
In terms of composition I thought back to this image of Eleni Kalorkoti's and how she had filled the frame with this girls fringe. I think sometimes using negative space can be very powerful, and so I thought of cropping the image so you just see his face and the moustache using the bottom half of the image - to emphasise this key facial feature.
