More research: Haruki Murakami

I found this article through one of the links on Haruki Murakami’s official site – it was extremely useful in terms of research and gaining a broader understanding of Murakami as a person. Something that really interested me when reading this is how his daily life is so structured and disciplined, but his novels so disordered and surreal. I think this provides a contrast that would be exciting to explore visually. The article also has made me want to research more into Murakami’s participation and views on political and social events within Japan, as he offers commentary on the Sarin-gas attack, the nuclear industry and Kobe earthquake.
So far I've only read some of Haruki Murakami's novels, but after reading this article I've decided it would be good to expand my research into some of his more personal and non-fiction books - namely:
"Underground: The Tokyo gas attack and the Japanese Psyche" - a book about the 1995 Aum Shinrikyo sarin gas attack on the Tokyo subway
"What I talk about when I talk about running" - a memoir by Haruki Murakami in which he writes about his interest and participation in long-distance running.
