Within this brief one of the gifs has to made using 3D processes, therefore I have began thinking about how to go about this and maybe creating some characters using 3D objects, or crafting them using paper, felt or plasticine/clay stuff...
To get some inspiration I began to look at some of Jean Jullien's 3D work. I particularly like the way in which he has created characters with shoes. It shows that just the small addition of eyes or a mouth and tongue can give normal objects a real sense of personality and character. The result is also really playful and humorous, a tone that I would like reflected in my work with these gifs. Some of his other work using paper is also equally effective - like in the image above in which he has taken advantage of the bendy and crumply nature of paper to reflect a broken or dishevelled runner. I think this shows in creating 3D work its important to consider the texture and abilities of your materials, so you can best reflect and animate the character you are making.
